About Our School
Welcome to Pakefield High School
I am delighted to welcome you to Pakefield High School. As the newest secondary school in Lowestoft, opened in September 2011, we are proud of our modern facilities, excellent equipment, and dedicated staff. Our students and staff take pride in being part of both our school and the wider community.
At Pakefield, our core values of Connect, Achieve and, Nurture shape everything we do. These values help our students grow during their time with us and guide them throughout their lives:
Connect
Beyond the classroom, our students engage in a rich variety of activities that build cultural capital and spark passion. From international trips to after-school clubs, from sports to curriculum competitions, from Duke of Edinburgh to Debating – there’s something for everyone at Pakefield.
Achieve
Our ambitious and evolving curriculum challenges students to reach their full potential. We value hard work, resilience, and commitment. High attendance, focused effort in lessons, and thoughtful completion of homework are all part of our culture of achievement.
Nurture
Respect and kindness are at the heart of our school. Our routines support a safe and inclusive environment where students care for themselves, each other, and the wider community. We promote British Values, encouraging mutual respect and tolerance for all beliefs and backgrounds.
We understand that living by our values takes dedication and courage. We encourage our students to be the best version of themselves—making choices they can be proud of, showing honesty and integrity, and presenting themselves with confidence in their uniform, speech, and written work.
